I used to have this idea thatthey could create a led screen globe (like a desktop globe of the world which people used to have to check the geography of countries of the world) but it could be touch screen and be able to show different types of information abotu different countries or even display different planets etc. But obviously it would be quite a luxury item and probably eveything can be learnt by a laptop anyway

This was a very good concept from a ( Maltese?) engineer . added ideas - it can also be used to desolder itself. - For cct boards where a component may need to be serviced in future it may have a heat pad under specific cpu or chips so they can be desoldered /upgraded in future. -The item can be designed to self destruct or power down permanently by desoldering a track at a specific moment in future. - The board can be made in-operatable for a specific reason remotely - The board can deliberately increase in heat to say for example stop condensation Very good video.

I am not an expert, but my random knowledge makes me think that using something like 4 flat screens with high brightness and a collection of fibers or lenses to project onto a sphere from the inside may be better.

You can use white color to print the grid instead of black color because it absorbs light and white reflects it and may be more radiant I admire your work thank you

Hey carl, through your video, I also work on the PCB motor, my PCB dimension is 120mm Diameter 2 layer and 6 coil 3 phase Delta connection. Can you just help me with testing when I assemble with the rotor and the magnets and supply with the controller, It can't move whereas other conventional motors are working fine with the controller. I am stuck in this can you just help me with this.

at this point I feel like youd be better off with a flexible display and some fancy origami. if you made it a bit bigger the resolution would have been passable, but then the cost of those LEDs would have gone through the roof. ugh, sometimes theres just no winning, but im so happy and glad that you get to do what you love, and i love watching your videos! keep it up! and most of all, do what fulfills you!

Couldn't you use fiber-optics? This would allow you to decouple the output (the dome) from the actual light input, which could probably be a simple LED screen inside the base. They make plastic fiber-optic toys, so sourcing the parts would be cheap.
